Notam posesses knowledge about music technology and its areas of application within various target groups. Notam offers courses, education, seminars, conferences and presentations.
Notam works with developing technical solutions and imparting knowledge about potentials and possibilities that technology offers within the cultural domain. The center operates on several levels within the Norwegian music and arts scene, and in the international music technology environment.
We provide support musicians and artists, and we develop our own music technology.
Cato Langnes is the studio manager at NOTAM. For the conference Musikkteknologidagene 2010, he gave a presentation which also has been written as an article.
The article is a summary of the work he has done together with the double bass player Håkon Thelin, and the novel recording techniques he has developed during this collaboration.
